As we all know, San Remo Ballroom has been completely refurbished inside and out; and has recently relaunched to an overwhelmingly positive response! Inspired by that transformation, our wonderful Executive chef and creative kitchen team have been hard at work whipping up decadent and delicious new menu options for all our future wedding couples, corporate guests and party clients to enjoy!

Our food philosophy has always been all about innovation, creativity and using the freshest seasonal ingredients to produce delightfully surprising and mouthwatering flavour combinations. We promise to deliver the most memorable and tantalising menu items, and bring your catering vision to life and create it artfully on a plate – presented so beautifully it’s almost too pretty to eat!

With his impeccable resume and international experience, Vasantha enjoyed his first Australian role as Sous Chef at The Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, before going on to assist with the opening of a multi million dollar hospitality venue in regional Victoria. Vasantha has enjoyed Executive Chef roles in a range of luxury hotels and event venues in Melbourne, before coming across to San Remo Ballroom.

Think crispy pork belly with a cherry jelly, apple and mint salad and olive oil powder; or a prawn and lobster ravioli drizzled with a creamy lobster bisque with parsley pesto, pancetta crisp, and prawn salsa as an entree… followed by beef eye of the rump, potato gratin, vanilla parsnip puree, red wine jus, salsa verde; or a fillet of crispy salmon with saffron mayonnaise, kipfler potatoes, salsa verde and crumbed asparagus  for your main course. These are just a small selection of the menu that is available to all SRB events. Your biggest challenge will be selecting your menu!

Having proudly been in the events business for many years, it’s fair to say we’ve seen, created and eaten our fair share of cake! But with desserts such as a chocolate and caramel mousse dome with chocolate soil, mini Oreos and raspberry; and buttermilk pannacotta with strawberry sponge, blueberries and persian fairy floss, we have the sweetest of treats to perfectly complete your meal.
